The Africa Center of Excellence on New Pedagogies in Engineering Education (ACENPEE)is proud to honour academically talented and exceptionally skilled students with a variety of scholarships. The Center will annually award more than $50,000in scholarships to regional graduate students as funded by the World Bank and as accrued to the Center based on the disbursement linked indicators (DLIs).
The Chairman welcomed members to the 1stmeeting of the Sectorial Advisory Board (SAB).He said the meeting was to discuss the activities of the Africa Centre of Excellence on New Pedagogies in Engineering Education (ACENPEE). He requested that the annual report/program of events should be provided to the board by the Centre to enable it monitor the activities usingthe Disbursement Link Indicators (DLI) and give guidance to the Centre accordingly.
The Africa Centre of Excellence on New Pedagogies in Engineering Education (ACENPEE), as an ACEDevelopment Impact Centre, has the mandate to improve the quantity and quality of postgraduate education in Engineering Education in the African Sub-region. In particular, it will focus on the quantity of students by scaling up admission at the MSc and PhD levels in 4 Engineering departments, at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, with emphasis on regional students and particularly the enrolment of female students.
The Africa Centre of Excellence on New Pedagogies in Engineering Education (ACENPEE), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria has a zero tolerance for sexual harassment. The Centre’s Sexual Harassment Coordinator is Professor Binta Abdulkarim who is also the university’s Director, Gender Policy Unit.
