The Center of Excellence on New Pedagogies in Engineering Education (ACENPEE), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has established collaboration with local, regional and international academic institutions as a way of achieving set goals. These collaborations are aimed at harnessing the much available opportunities for transformation and sustainable developmental growth in Nigeria and across the African Continent.
Global institutions that have signed memorandum of understanding with the Center include, University of Ghana, Kwame Ukrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, University of South Africa, Johannesburg, Defence University College of Engineering, Bishoftu, Ethiopia, Washington State University, Fullman, USA, University of Michigan, Michigan, USA. The centre also has working relationship with Purdue University and Virgina Tech USA while leveraging on existing collaboration between Ahmadu Bello University, the Host University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
These collaborations are aimed at ensuring that the center live up to its expectations of increasing the number of students (both male and female) enrolling and graduating from the masters and Ph.D programmes, training of industry professionals through short term courses, improvement of teaching, research and learning facilities and environment, international accreditation of M,Sc and Ph.D programmes, international publication of research results, production of commercially viable products, among others.
